The term ‘Faayda’ means profit in Hindi and this is what I had is mind when I started thinking for a concept. How can faayda.com be true to its name and be profitable for all its users. While I was thinking about this, I happened to read the business section in HT which had some startling statistics about the internet usage in India. Jobs searching was the 2nd most popular activity done on the internet… 2nd only to checking emails. If faayda.com was made into a job site, not just any job site but one with some character and a mission, it would help millions of job seekers and recruiters alike.
Faayda’s mission is to provide a user friendly platform for job seekers and recruiters to interact in the most efficient manner at no cost to either of them.
The development of faayda.com has been divided into phases. Our job search engine part was the first phase which is now running successfully. We are now working on the second phase of development (I don’t want to give away the details as yet).
There are a lot of ‘I’ mentioned in the above paragraphs, I refers to Prashant who is the founder of faayda.com. Having said that, I do not want to carry on further mentioning myself in a 3rd person so I will get back to ‘I’ again.
I am a commerce graduate from Delhi University and have specialized in Investment Management from DePaul University, Chicago. Though I do not have any formal education in Information Technology, I have been working with computers since my childhood. Since the last 9-10 years, I have been a freelance web designer… more recently I work as consultant for Web Design, Usability, Ecommerce and SEO. I love to think about new ideas and then bring them to life. Faayda.com is currently my pet project and I can take it to amazing heights.
